TO RELIEVE FINANCIAL HARDSHIP, DISTRESS AND SUFFERING IN THE NORTH EAST REGION OF SRI LANKA, BY THE PROVISION OF IMPROVED INFRASTRUCTURES, THE DEVELOPMENT OF EDUCATION AND THE PROMOTION OF SELF-HELP ACTIVITIES AMONGST THOSE PEOPLE OR COMMUNITIES. 2. SUCH OTHER CHARITABLE PURPOSES AS THE TRUSTEES SHALL TIME TO TIME IN THEIR ABSOLUTE DISCRETION THINK FIT.
